Groups Visiting The Joseph Storehouse

Volunteer supporter talks about her work with the Joseph Storehouse TrustRecently, we have had 8 or 9 groups come to visit us at The Joseph Storehouse to see, first hand, what we have stored up on the shelves. These most recent groups visiting us have come from Germany, Canada, USA, UK and the Czech Republic. Our visitors are usually treated to refreshments, a tour of our warehouses, an information pack, and a personal talk from Barry or Batya describing our projects and outreach. One group of pastors/ministry leaders that visited us back in January spent time cleaning up and washing the floors in our main warehouse. I couldn't help but think about how this humble act of service done by these pastors, that of washing the dust and dirt from the warehouse cement floors, connected with the Scripture where Jesus washed the dirt and dust from the feet of his disciples in John 13:3-15. In verses 14 & 15 of this chapter Jesus tells them,

"If I then, [your] Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you." John 13:14-15

Volunteer & Staff News From The Storehouse

Sometimes it's a revolving door here and we are sad to see our precious volunteers go. But then another group of volunteers come in to continue building on the foundation of the previous volunteers, adding their special part to what those before them have done. They are a true blessing to The Joseph Storehouse! New incoming volunteers arrived mid June. A volunteer from the UK, who was assisting Janice two days a week, recently returned home. She was another faithful volunteer who will be missed very much.

We look forward to working with our new volunteer staff. Please pray with us that they will make an easy transition into new work and a different culture. As all of our volunteers, they are coming with a heart to serve God's people here in Israel.
